Settlement
Runik
Skenderaj
Runik lies northwest of Skenderaj, beside the Peja–Mitrovica road. Osmani presents it as one of Drenica’s older settlements and records the Gradishta site above the village, with evidence linked to Neolithic and later occupation. The entry also notes archaeological finds including the Runik ocarina.
Written references in the source include medieval and Ottoman records. The book contains far more on local names, families and historical change; this page intentionally keeps only the few facts that help introduce Runik’s archaeological and documentary importance.
