Vneshtari (Samadrexha)

Municipality Suhareka

Vneshtari (Samadrexha) is in the municipality of Suhareka. A historical document from 1198 mentions the settlement under the form Sllamodrava. An Ottoman register from 1591 documents the settlement under the form Sllamoderzha with 51 households and 9 unmarried men.

A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Sllamodraxha. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. Historical notes mention a mosque in the settlement. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
