Vendeni i Epërm (Sibofci i Epërm)

Municipality Podujeva

According to local tradition, vendeni i Epërm (Sibofci i Epërm) is in the municipality of Podujeva. A historical document from 1689 mentions the settlement under the form Sibovc. An Ottoman register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Sibofçe-i Loga.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds and building foundations. The study records the settlement of 9 families during the colonisation period. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
