Municipality Shterpce

Vërbeshtica is in the municipality of Shterpce. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement under the form Verbashtica with 53 households and 5 unmarried men. A historical document from 1465 mentions the settlement.

A later register from 1566 documents the settlement with 47 households and 14 unmarried men. The register from 1893 documents the settlement. The register from 1900 documents the settlement.
