Urbishti e Zhegocit (Vërbica e Zhegocit)

Municipality Gjilan

Urbishti e Zhegocit (Vërbica e Zhegocit) is in the municipality of Gjilan. An Ottoman register from 1498 documents the settlement under the form Verbica. A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Verbica.

For 1998–99, the source documents burning by Serbian forces. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include pottery and tile fragments. A historical document mentions the settlement.
