Ujzi

Municipality Gjakova

Ujzi is in the municipality of Gjakova. A historical document from 1330 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1530 documents the settlement with 6 households and 1 unmarried man.

A later register from 1571 documents the settlement under the form Radotica with 36 households and 15 unmarried men. A historical document from 1842 mentions the settlement. The register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Ujz. In Osmani’s interpretation, archaeological traces include older burial grounds.
