Topliqasi lies about 4 km south of Lipjan. At the Stupe locality west of the village, roof tiles, bricks and stones from an earlier settlement have been found; an old church and burial grounds also survive on the hill. The ethnic attribution of these remains is presented in the source as an interpretation and cannot be determined from the physical traces alone.
A register from 1566–74 mentions Tobliçan with 63 households, but the study itself expresses uncertainty over whether this is the same Topliqasi. Secure documentation continues with the Deviç register in 1762 and later sources. Muhajir families settled here after the expulsions from the Sanjak of Niš in 1877–78, while five colonist families were placed nearby between the world wars.
In 1912 the Serbian army executed around 60 people of different ages at Stupe. In 1999 Topliqasi had around 135 families and 1,280 Albanian residents and sheltered many refugees from Drenica and other villages.
