Tirinca

Municipality Kamenica

Tirinca is in the municipality of Kamenica. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement under the form Hinçiq with 19 households. A later register from 1498 documents the settlement under the form Tirenci.

The register from 1566 documents the settlement under the form Henica with 5 households and 3 unmarried men. The register from 1893 documents the settlement. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
