Taraxha (Tërni) is in the municipality of Suhareka. A historical document from 1198 mentions the settlement. A historical document from 1465 mentions the settlement.

An Ottoman register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Tarsena. The study records the settlement of 17 families during the colonisation period. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
