Sllapuzhan, treated in the volume as Dardha (Sllapuzhani), lies about 5 km north of Theranda. It is a compact hill settlement. Traces of clay-pipe water systems, wells and old burial grounds have been recorded within its territory.
Medieval documentation mentions the settlement in 1348 under the form Zaplzhan. Later Ottoman registers and yearbooks preserve variants including Zablojan and Zaplluzhan. Families arriving from Albania also became part of the village's population over time.
During the 1998–99 war the village had around 160 residential houses and 1,371 Albanian residents. Five villagers were killed in the offensive of 28 July 1998, while a child was killed during fighting in January 1999. More than 144 houses and almost all economic and auxiliary buildings were burned or destroyed. The population was deported to Albania on 2 April 1999.
