Shtruhera (Shtitarica) is in the municipality of Vushtrri. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement with 52 households and 6 unmarried men. A later register from 1530 documents the settlement under the form Ishtitariçe.

The register from 1566 documents the settlement with 36 households and 10 unmarried men. The register from 1893 documents the settlement. The source records migration of residents to Turkey. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Shitarica.
