Municipality Vushtrri

Shalësi (Shallci) is in the municipality of Vushtrri. An Ottoman register from 1566 documents the settlement under the form Shalc with 21 households and 2 unmarried men. A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Shalqa.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include building foundations and older burial grounds.
