Reqan, treated in the volume as Lumari (Reçani), lies about 4 km east of Theranda, in a valley, and is a compact settlement. Its territory preserves names and traces connected with an old inhabited landscape of the Dukagjin Plain.
The settlement is mentioned in a document from 1348. An Ottoman register from 1530 records the form Reçani Kuçuk with 20 households. During the Yugoslav Kingdom, villagers resisted pressure to emigrate to Turkey; local historical memory credits Rizah Dauti, an associate of Ramë Bllaca, with helping strengthen that resistance.
Before the 1998–99 war the village had around 147 houses with 1,260 Albanian residents and 26 Serbian houses. Serbian forces burned the village in the September 1998 offensive and again in March 1999. Most residents sheltered in the mountains of Budakova and Llanisht, while some crossed into Albania.
