An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement with 8 households and 1 unmarried man. A later register from 1566 documents the settlement with 7 households and 2 unmarried men. The register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Polatne.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include building foundations and older burial grounds. The study records the settlement of 1 family during the colonisation period. Historical notes mention a mosque in the settlement. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
