Malmiri i Epërm (Sllakoci i Epërm) is in the municipality of Gjilan. A historical document from 1877 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Sllakovci Muhaxhirëve.

For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include pottery and tile fragments. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Sllakoci Çerkezëve. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Sllakovci.
