A historical document from 1220 mentions the settlement under the form Qrnii Vr. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement. A later register from 1582 documents the settlement.
A historical document from 1771 mentions the settlement. The register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Cërnoverleshina. A historical document from 1903 mentions the settlement. For 1998–99, the source documents destruction.
