Lepi, now in the municipality of Graçanica, lies about 7 km north of historical Lipjan. Near the railway station, at Arat e Bunarit, an old well and traces of material culture have been observed, pointing to an earlier settlement.
The Graçanica charter of 1314–16 mentions the settlement as Lapina. A register from 1455 records 30 households, while the 1566–74 register documents continued habitation. Christian residents appear in the Deviç register in 1761–76, and late-19th-century yearbooks use the form Lepina. Local tradition also remembers Circassian families once settled near the station.
After the expulsion of Albanians from Toplica and surrounding areas in 1877–78, muhajir families settled here; some emigrated to Turkey after 1912. In May 1999, during the war, all six Albanian houses in the village were burned.
