Kuçishti (Kuçica)

Municipality Skenderaj

Kuçishti (Kuçica) is in the municipality of Skenderaj. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement under the form Stërmac with 28 households and 5 unmarried men. A historical document from 1763 mentions the settlement.

For 1998–99, the source documents burning by Serbian forces. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds and building foundations. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Kukishte.
