Krushicë e Epërme is the northern part of the historical settlement of Dardhishta (Krushica), which was administratively divided in 1959 into Krushicë e Epërme and Krushicë e Poshtme. It lies above Budakova, about 13 km east of Theranda, and is a dispersed settlement. Local tradition regards the upper settlement as a later development than the lower one.
The history of both Krushica settlements is rooted in a much older inhabited landscape. Documents from 1348 mention Krushica, while an Ottoman register from 1485 records 14 households. Late-19th-century yearbooks preserve the forms Kroshiçe and Krushevicë.
After the 1959 administrative division, Krushicë e Epërme developed as a separate settlement. Before the 1998–99 war it had about 34 houses and approximately 350 Albanian residents. Serbian attacks burned or destroyed 28 houses and other buildings, three residents were killed, and the population was expelled from the village.
