Krenaja (Karaçica) is in the municipality of Shtime. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement. A later register from 1566 documents the settlement with 11 households and 6 unmarried men.

The register from 1893 documents the settlement. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
