Krasniqe (Nepola) is in the municipality of Peja. A historical document from 1348 mentions the settlement under the form Dnepolje. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Ajdina Pole.

A later register from 1689 documents the settlement under the form Nepole. A historical document from 1780 mentions the settlement. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
