Municipality Skenderaj

Klina e Epërme is in the municipality of Skenderaj. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement with 85 households and 10 unmarried men. A later register from 1566 documents the settlement with 23 households and 6 unmarried men.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict. The source records migration of residents to Turkey. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Klinur.
