Municipality Peja

Kelmendi (Nobërxhani) is in the municipality of Peja. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Nebonani with 12 households and 3 unmarried men. A later register from 1582 documents the settlement.

The register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Nobërxhan. For 1998–99, the source documents burning by Serbian forces, burning, and expulsion. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict. The register documents the settlement.
