Municipality Suhareka

Kastra (Kasterci) is in the municipality of Suhareka. A historical document from 1348 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1530 documents the settlement with 5 households and 1 unmarried man.

A later register from 1582 documents the settlement under the form Kostran. The register from 1591 documents the settlement under the form Kostrec with 7 households and 2 unmarried men. For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
