Hoçë e Vogël lies about 5 km south of Rahovec. It is a compact settlement. Its elevation is about 349 metres above sea level. Roman-period jars, roof tiles, bricks and building stone have been found in the area of Hoçë e Vogël, indicating earlier habitation. An Ottoman register from 1530 records the settlement in several sections, while the 1591 register lists it as Dolina Hoça.
In 1999 the village had about 190 houses. Almost all were burned, together with the school and its records; the mosque built in 1920 was burned and destroyed on 25 March. Forty-two residents were killed, and on 2 April the population was expelled toward Albania.
