Goden, treated in the volume as Godeni i Vogël, is a hilly settlement on the slopes of the Karadak, about 15 km south of Gjilan. Its mountain location and difficult economic conditions contributed to a major population decline during the 20th century.
One family moved to Albania around 1927, while further migration to Turkey took place in the 1950s. Many residents later settled in Zhegër, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Skopje, Hasanbeg and elsewhere.
By 1999 only around eight houses remained in the village. This decline was driven mainly by economic migration and repeated population movement over several decades.
