Gjyrisheci is in the municipality of Kamenica. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement under the form Gjurince. A later register from 1477 documents the settlement with 4 households.

The register from 1498 documents the settlement under the form Gjurashe-fca. The register from 1566 documents the settlement under the form Gurishofc with 7 households and 4 unmarried men. For 1998–99, the source documents killings by Serbian forces.
