Municipality Peja

Fushmira (Poçesta) is in the municipality of Peja. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement. A later register from 1582 documents the settlement under the form Buçeshta.

A historical document from 1780 mentions the settlement. The register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Poqeska. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Poçestë.
