Frashnjeti (Kosuriqi)

Municipality Peja

Frashnjeti (Kosuriqi) is in the municipality of Peja. A historical document from 1327 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Korsuriq with 47 households and 12 unmarried men.

A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Kusuriq. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include building foundations. The source records migration of residents to Turkey. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Aleksandrovac.
