Fortesa (Bellacërkva) is in the municipality of Rahovec. A historical document from 1327 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Belaçerkova.
An Ottoman register from 1591 documents the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Belloçërka. The evidence includes pottery and tile fragments, pointing to earlier habitation. In Osmani’s interpretation, the evidence includes older burial grounds, pointing to earlier habitation.
