Dyzi

Municipality Podujeva

Dyzi is in the municipality of Podujeva. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement under the form Dysje with 7 households and 3 unmarried men. A historical document from 1477 mentions the settlement.

A later register from 1566 documents the settlement under the form Dusa with 3 households. The register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Dyz. For 1998–99, the source documents burning by Serbian forces. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds.
