Demahmeti (Reçica) is in the municipality of Podujeva. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement with 14 households and 2 unmarried men. A later register from 1487 documents the settlement with 12 households and 2 unmarried men.

The register from 1566 documents the settlement with 7 households and 6 unmarried men. A historical document from 1763 mentions the settlement. The register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Riçiçe. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds.
