Municipality Istog

Dardha (Zhakova) is in the municipality of Istog. A historical document from 1331 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Zakova with 21 households and 3 unmarried men.

A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Zhakova. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include building foundations. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
