Dabidol lies in the Rahovec area near the White Drin. Its elevation is about 320 metres above sea level. Archaeological traces in the settlement area include roof tiles and bricks, pointing to earlier phases of habitation.
Written records trace the settlement at least to 1530, with further references in 1893, 1896. A register from 1530 records 5 households. During the interwar period, 16 Slavic colonist or optant families were settled here.
During the 1998–1999 war, the settlement suffered burning and destruction by Serbian forces.
The settlement also suffered during Serbian rule in 1912 and 1919. Before the 1999 war it had about 60 houses; one resident was killed as a fighter and one person remained missing.
