Cërrca

Municipality Istog

Cërrca is in the municipality of Istog. A historical document from 1348 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Çerniça with 16 households and 2 unmarried men.

A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Qerniça. For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. A historical document mentions the settlement.
