Cermjani

Municipality Gjakova

Cermjani is in the municipality of Gjakova. A historical document from 1330 mentions the settlement under the form Çrmnjem. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Çërmil with 67 households and 18 unmarried men.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include building foundations and fortification remains. Historical notes mention a mosque in the settlement. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
