Caraleva

Municipality Shtime

Caraleva is in the municipality of Shtime. A historical document from 1348 mentions the settlement under the form Çernonjeva. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement under the form Gornje Crnalovo with 20 households.

A later register from 1485 documents the settlement. The register from 1566 documents the settlement with 12 households and 3 unmarried men. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds.
