Municipality Suhareka

Budakova is in the municipality of Suhareka. An Ottoman register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Budakovë. For 1998–99, the source documents burning by Serbian forces and killings.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds and building foundations.
