Brusniku

Municipality Vushtrri

Brusniku is in the municipality of Vushtrri. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement. A later register from 1530 documents the settlement under the form Brusnik.

The register from 1566 documents the settlement under the form Brusnik with 16 households and 7 unmarried men. The register from 1893 documents the settlement. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
