Municipality Gjakova

Brovina is in the municipality of Gjakova. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Brovina. A historical document from 1766 mentions the settlement under the form Dbrevine.

For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion. Historical notes mention a mosque in the settlement. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
