Municipality Gjilan

Blinaja (Lipovica) is in the municipality of Gjilan. An Ottoman register from 1498 documents the settlement under the form Dolina Lipovec. A historical document from 1560 mentions the settlement.

A later register from 1566 documents the settlement under the form Lipoviça with 6 households and 2 unmarried men. The register from 1900 documents the settlement. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
