Batllava is in the municipality of Podujeva. An Ottoman register from 1487 documents the settlement with 20 households. A later register from 1530 documents the settlement under the form Bad-glava.
The register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Batllova. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. A historical document mentions the settlement.
