Municipality Istog

Arbana (Orobërda) is in the municipality of Istog. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Butin Brek with 20 households and 2 unmarried men. A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Iznobërda.

For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
