Anamali (Shipashnica e Poshtme) lies about 6 km east of Dardana, in a lowland area with a compact settlement pattern. The settlement changed location over time; its earlier site is known as Selishtë. The 1455 cadastral register records the settlement with one household.
The 1566–74 register records 18 households and seven unmarried men. In 1877–78, Albanian muhajir families expelled from the Sanjak of Niš settled there; they later moved away. Kosovo Vilayet salnames from 1893, 1896 and 1900 record the form Shipashnica-i Zir. For 1937, the source records 12 Slavic colonist families with 61 members. After 1948, Albanian families settled there again; for 1999 the source records 110 Albanian households and seven Serbian households. After the 1999 war, the source records the departure of Serbian families and the destruction of their homes.
