Albaniku (Shajkoci) is in the municipality of Podujeva. An Ottoman register from 1566 documents the settlement with 14 households and 3 unmarried men. A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Shajkofça.
Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds and building foundations. A historical document mentions the settlement. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
