A mountain area with a winter identity

Brezovica lies in the Sharr Mountains near Shtërpcë and is Kosovo’s best-known winter-sports area. Its enduring value is the alpine setting itself: steep mountain slopes, long views and a highland landscape that changes markedly with snow and season.

Beyond winter

When snow has gone, Brezovica is a different kind of mountain base for walking, scenery and access towards the wider Sharr range. The national park has recently worked on a marked route from the ski-centre area towards Livadhi Lake and Luboten, but this should be planned as a proper mountain outing, with current route and weather information.

Lift operation, ski services, road conditions and the practical length of the season can change from year to year. This guide deliberately does not publish fixed opening dates, pass prices or a promised snow season. Confirm current winter operations directly before travelling, and use appropriate preparation in every season.
