The social centre of old Prizren

Shatërvan is the compact square beside the Lumbardhi at the heart of historic Prizren. It is the easiest place to understand the city’s rhythm: the Stone Bridge, riverside, old lanes and the hill below Prizren Fortress all converge here.

Start a walk from the river

From Shatërvan, cross Stone Bridge towards Saraçhana, follow the river, continue towards Sinan Pasha Mosque or climb towards the fortress. This is a useful orientation point, but the historic centre works best when explored on foot rather than treated as one attraction.

A shared public space

Shatërvan is active with residents and visitors throughout the day. Pause, observe and keep the square usable for everyone. Individual cafés, shops and heritage interiors set their own hours, so plan any specific stop directly.
