A bridge at the White Drin canyon

Holy Bridge, widely known by its Albanian name Ura e Fshejt, spans the White Drin near the villages of Ujzë and Fshaj in the Gjakova area. It stands at the entrance to a narrow river canyon, where the bridge and rocky landscape form one connected heritage and nature stop.

A distinct Gjakova-area landmark

This is not the Stone Bridge in central Prizren. Ura e Fshejt belongs to the rural corridor between the Gjakova and Rahovec areas and is listed in Gjakova’s municipal heritage planning. Nearby archaeological remains also show that the wider Ujzë and Fshaj landscape has a much longer human history than the bridge alone.

Visit with care around the river

Allow time to view the bridge from its surroundings and notice how it meets the canyon rather than treating it as an isolated structure. Conditions around the river, rocks and roadside can change. Keep a safe distance from exposed edges and fast water, and do not assume that local diving traditions make unsupervised jumping safe.
