Zllokuqan, treated in the volume as Zallkuqi (Zllokuqani), lies about 13 km southwest of Lipjan, on the slopes of Blinaja. At Ara e Kishës, roof tiles, bricks, stones and wells from an earlier settlement have been found; old stone-built burial grounds also survive in the area.
An Ottoman register from 1455 records 21 households, while the 1566–74 register records nine. An Austrian map based on information from 1689 shows the form Zlokuqe, and late-19th-century yearbooks preserve the same naming tradition. In 1917 the Bulgarian authorities heavily looted the village, took elderly men to Prishtina and burned parts of the forest for charcoal production. The years 1928–31 brought emigration to Turkey and Albania.
In 1999 Zllokuqan had 22 houses and 208 Albanian residents. During 1998–99 Serbian forces killed two young men, one a KLA member and the other while defending his family. Residents took refuge in the Blinaja mountains.
