Vërshec, treated in the volume within the entry Blinaja (Vërsheci), lies at the foot of the Blinaja mountains about 14 km west of Lipjan. House foundations and old burial grounds have been recorded in the Nishor neighbourhood; in the western part, at Zidoll, traces and local place-names are associated with an old Catholic church.
Kosovo Vilayet yearbooks from 1893, 1896 and 1900 record the settlement under the form Vërshefca. In 1925–26, 12 Serbian and Montenegrin colonist families were settled in the area between Qylagë and Blinajë.
Some houses were burned and residents were killed by the Serbian authorities in 1912 and 1918. Before the 1998–99 war Vërshec had around 118 houses with 1,070 Albanian residents and four Serbian houses. The population left the village on 6 July 1998.
